Flotr, operated by Flotr travel tech, is a marketplace where verified travel agencies list group trips that travellers book and pay for in the Flotr app. This policy explains what happens when a booking is cancelled and how refunds are paid. The cancellation policy that applies to a trip is shown on the trip page before you pay, and again on your booking.

How to cancel a booking

  • Open the Flotr app, go to Trips, open your booking and tap Request cancellation.
  • The agency accepts the request at the trip's cancellation policy. If the agency does not respond within 24 hours, Flotr accepts it for them at the same policy.
  • If you asked by mistake, you can withdraw your request before it is accepted.

How much is refunded

Each trip uses one of three cancellation policies, chosen by the agency and shown on the trip page. The refund is a share of the amount you paid, based on how many days before departure you cancel:

When you cancelFlexibleStandardStrict
30 days or more before departure90%90%60%
15 to 29 days before90%60%30%
8 to 14 days before60%30%No refund
7 days or less before30%No refundNo refund

When the trip is cancelled by the agency

If the agency cancels your trip or departure, you receive a full refund of the amount you paid, whatever the cancellation policy.

Events outside anyone's control

If a trip cannot run because of severe weather, a natural disaster or a government restriction, 70% of the amount you paid is refunded to your original payment method and 30% is given as Flotr travel credit.

If you believe the agency is at fault

If the dates or plan changed, the trip was not as promised, or the agency asked you to cancel, choose "Problem with the agency or the trip" when you cancel and describe what happened. Flotr's team reviews the request and decides the refund, up to the full amount paid.

Seat reservations and balance payments

  • Some trips let you reserve a seat by paying a small deposit now and the balance by a due date, usually 7 days before departure. The due date is shown when you book and on your booking.
  • If the balance is not paid by the due date, the booking is cancelled, the seat is released and the deposit is not refunded. You are reminded before the due date.
  • If a payment reaches us after a booking has been cancelled, that payment is refunded to you in full automatically.

When and how refunds are paid

  • Refunds are paid to the original payment method (UPI, card, net banking or wallet).
  • After a refund is processed, as per Razorpay, it usually reaches your account within 5 to 7 working days, depending on your bank. You can follow its status on your booking in the app.
  • Money you paid directly to an agency outside Flotr (for example in cash) is refunded by that agency.

No-shows

If you do not arrive at the pickup point and did not cancel before departure, no refund is due.
